Test Manager – Quality & IoT Systems

On behalf of Anticimex Innovation Center, Asgaard Recruitment is looking for an experienced Test Manager to strengthen and mature the testing function across a growing portfolio of connected IoT products.

Based in Bagsværd, Anticimex Innovation Center develops next-generation solutions used internationally. This role is a key hire in the journey to build stronger internal capabilities and reduce dependency on external consultants in critical testing roles.

The role

As Test Manager, you will take ownership of test strategy, planning, and coordination across projects and maintenance releases. You will ensure that testing is structured, relevant, and aligned with both technical requirements and business needs.

You will work across hardware, firmware, software, and mechanical domains, collaborating closely with testers, project managers, Quality, Production, and engineering teams. You will play a central role in ensuring that releases are field-ready and supported by the right test activities.

This role requires someone who can challenge stakeholders when quality risks are not properly addressed and ensure that critical issues are not ignored in release decisions.

Your key responsibilities

You will:

• Define and continuously improve the overall test process for IoT and embedded products in projects

• Plan, estimate, prioritize, and coordinate test activities across projects and maintenance tracks

• Create test plans and test reporting and oversee test cases and execution

• Ensure traceability from requirements to testing and defects using tools such as JIRA or similar

• Support release readiness assessments and sign-off decisions

• Support and guide testers, allocating tasks based on competencies and project needs

• Drive continuous improvement of testing processes, methods, and quality practices

• Establish and use quality metrics to support decision-making

Who you are

You are an experienced Test Manager or Senior Test Lead with a strong ability to combine structure, technical understanding, and stakeholder management.

You create realistic plans, communicate clearly across functions, and push back when timelines or decisions put quality at risk. You are comfortable working in complex environments where hardware, firmware, software, and mechanics must come together in a reliable product.

You have a strong quality mindset and are comfortable with challenging decisions when quality risks are not sufficiently understood or mitigated. You see quality as a shared responsibility but know when to take a clear stand. You also understand how to work with different personalities, guiding collaboration, and helping teams succeed in practice

We imagine that you bring

• 5+ years of experience as a Test Manager or Senior Test Lead in IoT, embedded, physical, or mechanical product development environments

• Strong understanding of embedded systems and hardware–firmware–software interaction

• Experience with both V-Model and Agile development approaches

• Solid experience with test management tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, or similar

• Strong communication skills in English

• Experience coordinating test activities across multiple stakeholders and technical disciplines

It is an advantage if you bring ISTQB Test Manager (Advanced Level) certification or similar knowledge, along with experience in field testing and end-to-end IoT validation. Knowledge of wireless technologies such as BLE, Wi-Fi, or LTE, as well as Danish language skills, are also considered a plus.
