Senior Electronics Engineer
Do you want to help shape robust electronics solutions for intelligent IoT products used worldwide?
On behalf of our client, Anticimex Innovation Center, Asgaard Recruitment is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to strengthen the electronics engineering discipline and contribute to the development, improvement, and industrialization of smart, connected products operating in demanding real-world environments.
Anticimex is a global leader in modern pest control and prevention. At Anticimex Innovation Center, ideas move from sketch to prototype to launched smart devices that transform pest control into a data-driven and more sustainable industry.
The role
As Senior Electronics Engineer, you will take a central role in developing and improving connected devices where electronics, mechanics, firmware, and software must work seamlessly together.
The role combines hands-on electronics development with technical leadership, including ownership of electronics architecture in selected development projects. You will help set the professional standard for electronics design, support task coordination within the team, and contribute to stronger engineering practices across design reviews, release discipline, root-cause analysis, testing, documentation, and change management.
A key part of the role will be to help strengthen in-house electronics capabilities. Today, parts of the electronics and firmware development are handled by external partners, and Anticimex Innovation Center is now building stronger internal ownership of selected design, verification, and development activities.
You will work with low-power, battery-powered IoT devices, wireless connectivity, power architecture, EMC/EMI, validation, production transfer, and supplier collaboration. The position is primarily based in Bagsværd, with close collaboration across internal teams, production, and external development partners.
The position is primarily based in Bagsværd, with occasional presence expected at the production facility in Helsinge.
Your key responsibilities
You will:
Develop and improve electronics for low-power, wireless IoT devices
Lead the structured transition of selected electronics development and verification activities from external partners to internal ownership, including tooling, documentation, and knowledge transfer
Work with PCB/PCBA development, component selection, schematics, layout, and release documentation
Design robust electronics for battery-powered and wireless products, including power architecture, energy optimization, connectivity, and EMC/EMI considerations
Contribute to verification and validation activities, including board bring-up, test planning, troubleshooting, certification readiness, and release processes
Strengthen Stage-Gate execution, design review practices, documentation quality, engineering change processes, and controlled releases
Collaborate closely with mechanics, firmware, software, production colleagues, internal stakeholders, and external suppliers
You will become a key technical voice in the electronics discipline, helping raise the engineering standard and ensuring that products are designed not only to work, but to work reliably at scale.
Who you are
You are an experienced electronics engineer with deep technical expertise and a strong interest in building connected products that must perform reliably in the real world. You enjoy hands-on electronics development, structured problem-solving, and turning technical findings into robust, manufacturable solutions.
You likely bring:
7–10+ years of experience in electronics hardware development
Strong experience with electronics design for embedded or IoT products
Experience with Altium Designer, OrCAD, or similar tools
Solid understanding of low-power design, battery-powered devices, and power architecture
Experience with wireless systems, RF fundamentals, antennas, coexistence, or certification pathways
Experience with EMC/EMI considerations, troubleshooting, and testing
Experience working in structured product development models such as Stage-Gate
Knowledge of DFM/DFA/DFT, production collaboration, and supplier management
Professional proficiency in English
It is an advantage if you have experience with insourcing or transitioning development work from external partners, PDM/PLM systems, ISO 9001, FMEA, automated testing, embedded firmware, or IoT cloud integration.
Why Anticimex Innovation Center
Anticimex Innovation Center is at a pivotal moment – moving from a fast-moving scale-up approach toward a more professional and scalable product-development organization, without losing agility.
Today, Anticimex has around 600,000 connected devices deployed globally, creating both strong proof of success and a need to further mature engineering practices, product robustness, and long-term ownership.
You will join an organization with strong ambitions, short decision paths, and real opportunities to influence how products are designed, improved, tested, documented, and industrialized. You will help raise the technical level of the electronics discipline and play an important part in building more scalable in-house development capabilities.
Is this you?
If you are motivated by electronics development, low-power connected devices, technical problem-solving, and the opportunity to help shape the next generation of intelligent pest control solutions, we would like to hear from you.
We review applications continuously and conduct interviews on an ongoing basis.
